YOU WILL LEARN
1
How to add value in the C-Suite
What's your input in the conversations happening in the C-Suite? As an advisor, you're privy to the most intimate part of the business: its finances. You'll learn what the CFO's role in those conversations is and how you can offer a skill to your clients as a Bold CFO.
2
Debt and Liability Management
Learn to help your client avoid predatory lending and falling victim to the wrong type of debt. Help create strategy for clients needing capital inflow.
3
The Day-to-Day Tasks of a Fractional CFO
The common belief that a fractional CFO's job is to manage the bookkeepers, approve expenses and maybe create a budget once in a while is simply short-sighted. A CFO's (whether fractional or not) includes oversight of some of these functions, but it's far from the complete picture.
4
CFO Risk Management
Risk management, liquidity management and working capital advisory are a CFO's job. Yet so many business owners do not get that support from a "fractional-CFO". In this program you will learn from an underwriter and credit risk pro who has worked with the top CFO's in the country.
5
Top CFO's Tools and Templates to Offer CFO Services with Confidence
During this training we will equip you with the tools and templates so that you can get started immediately. We will also teach you a bit of price psychology and menu pricing as it applies to fractional CFO product you offer.
6
Action Steps for When Things Go Wrong and More
We will teach you how to address the unpredictable at your client's business. Things will go wrong, and the question is whether you'll be able to support your client through those moments.
"Bold CFO training was unbelievable! I got a ton of value, tools and knowledge I could apply right away. I got my first client while still in training!"

Why We Created This Training...
Meet: Nick Pastushan
As a business fixer and a financier, Nick has come across dozens of situations where small businesses had fractional CFOs that were TERRIBLE!
Over the course of his career, Nick was a credit risk professional and an underwriter for large corporate financing situations and has been privy to the most intimate part of them: finances.
Having bailed out a number of businesses, Nick has gained insight into why these businesses failed and needed capital, urgently. So any time Nick works with the next project needing capital, he can always tell:
- Why they got themselves into those situations,
- How the fractional CFO failed to do their job, and
- How it could have been prevented.
Come learn from Nick!

Tatiana knows the desires of accountants to support their clients in a more involved and meaningful way, get higher fees from value-add activity outside of core tax season.
Tatiana has a ton of experience working as a CFO of small businesses. She has witnessed their successes and failures, and saw the power we as advisors hold over that business's story.

The Bold CFO training class was developed to give accounting and tax professionals the additional skills to offer CFO (fractional or full-scale) services to their clients in addition to bookkeeping, tax preparation, tax planning etc. These individuals already have the accounting understanding and the access to the financial information of the clients, making them ideal candidates to offer broader finance and strategy support in a CFO role.
No formal prerequisites required for the course. It is expected that participants are already familiar with accounting basics, financial statements and related terminology of debits, credits and normal balances, as well as basic accounting equation.
No advance preparation is required.
Content Delivery and Relevance:
The 2 instructors for the live Zoom based BOLD CFO course are experienced active practitioners already providing services as a CPA and fractional CFO and as a CEO of a small business financing (debt and equity) company, restructuring advisor, and fractional CFO.
Materials preparation and review:
Course content and materials for each class are developed and edited / reviewed by separate parties. (see biographies of the developer / reviewer instructors)
Learning objectives:
As the goal of this training is to prepare accounting and tax professionals to take on a wider role in finance and corporate strategy, the content is directed at the areas of small business CFO responsibilities other than recordkeeping, tax etc. Prime examples of this and class modules include: Budgeting and forecasting (techniques, tools, templates and thought processes), liability management (healthy debt levels, good and bad types of debt especially predatory lending awareness, strategic transaction evaluation including M&A, creating relevant management reports to support goal setting, measurements for compensation plans, risk management, working capital management etc.). Learning objectives also include understanding the client needs, deliverables, risk management, packaging and pricing of this service for accounting firms.
